An energy audit is an inspection, survey and analysis of energy flows, for energy conservation in a building, process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output(s).
It is the first step in identifying opportunities to reduce energy expense and carbon footprints. It is an efficient tool that gives a clear insight into the condition of power installations, equipment and also the constructive characteristics of the facility that have a significant impact on energy consumption. The aim of the energy audit is to determine the location and causes of irrational energy consumption.
By eliminating these causes, we achieve not only energy savings, but also savings in the budget, as well as extending the life of equipment and installations.
An energy audit is a systematic approach to reviewing the existing energy performance of a system or object, including an analysis of measures to improve its energy efficiency.
